As part of the eUVM project, various traffic data analyses were carried out in order to be able to differentiate the causes of traffic disruptions such as congestion situations according to the possible influences. Where does the traffic flow originate that leads to the congestion of road sections at peak times? Are traffic flow disruptions caused by commuter or delivery traffic, construction sites, parking or others? For these questions, among others, analyses of temporally and spatially high-resolution floating car data (FCD), data from stationary traffic counting devices, and other data sources will be evaluated.
